Has he said this is his last year? It'd be something if he hung around for another year and passed Ruth.Norris wrote:No love for Pujols here smdh.

I don't know if he ever said it officially earlier, but from what I heard them paraphrase on MLB Network Radio this morning it sounded like last night he talked about reflecting more on his numbers after his career is over and said something like "in a couple months".Simple Torture wrote:Has he said this is his last year? I really don't think we'll see another 700+ HR guy for a long, long time. Trout is probably the next to 500 if his body holds together, and maybe Stanton after him (Stanton is ahead of him now, but I think Trout passes him).
I could swear the opposite. Last season no matter what. On record.spike wrote:I thought Pujols was on record as saying he’d play til he got to 700.
Nah I don't think so. 2020/2021 killed Trout's chances at that.Mickey wrote:Yeah I would have sworn this was his final year.
Neither Trout nor Stanton get to 700.
The only Cards games I can get in mid-Mo are ESPN and Apple TV games.blueviper wrote:From what we’ve heard around here this was his retirement year and he wasn’t too hung up on his numbers. Just wants the team to win.
Regarding the 700 hr game, Worst thing to happen was it was during an Apple TV broadcast. They’re terrible

Well he reached 700 so it’s moot. Find some other bone to pick with me.Bammer wrote:I could swear the opposite. Last season no matter what. On record.spike wrote:I thought Pujols was on record as saying he’d play til he got to 700.
I'm not paying $190 a year to watch a Cardinals game every few weeks. Wish there was another way to stream it (YouTube TV, Hulu, etc.). I fully acknowledge I'm being needy here.blueviper wrote:Bally app won’t work there?Monkey_Driven wrote:The only Cards games I can get in mid-Mo are ESPN and Apple TV games.blueviper wrote:From what we’ve heard around here this was his retirement year and he wasn’t too hung up on his numbers.
