if we're being technical...8oz is one cup. I've had one 20oz tumbler, and I'm on my second.
once I'm done with that, I'll have had five cups of coffee (black).
let's go.

the coffee alternates between sam's clubs version of donut shop to target's good & gather's take--both are ground. if I'm feeling ambitious and decadent I'll get beans from a local roaster and grind them, though that's rare. for a while i was buying beans from sam's, but the process got to be where i'd not want to wake the house in the morning, nor did i feel like grinding them and prepping a pot for the morning. oh, the conundrum...
i use a
cuisinart 12-cup i splurged for last fall. its claim to fame is it gets the water temp to the "industry standard" of 195-205. also, it was marked down to $105 from $170ish. I justified dropping that much for it because i make a pot daily, which my wife and i will finish. I've done french press, aeropress as well, and while they're good methods, I'm simply too impatient and thirsty for the beans.
i almost talked myself into one of
these, but chickened out. i also though about getting a ratio. again, chickened out. one day I'll pony up.
what's your preferred method?

There’s not enough milk anywhere that would improve the taste of coffee enough for me to drink it.

we have a breville espresso machine that we use at home which has a built-in burr grinder. we use a local company for the beans. on the weekends at home, we use a french press with our separate burr grinder (we use intelligentsia beans). when we're at the lake, we use intelligentsia's house blend with our Ratio 6 coffee maker (it's a cross between a drip and pour over machine).
