Cousins may not even play until the playoffs. There's definitely some chemistry questions, but good lord.

Well the regular season is super important and talent doesn't usually trump everything in that sport, so I feel better. Lol @ the Warriors.

Did KD really not take the max again?? I thought the first report I saw said it was a 1+1 at the max...

Is that a new report? The cupcake provided Boogie with the frosting?

Durant took the max but has a player option after the season. Wouldn't surprise me if he left. He's such an enigma.

yeah. he'll leave and go to the Lakers, after LA signs Kawhi and wins the championship vs Durant and the Warriors

Cousins is making less than PJ Tucker. Fair is fair.

I can't find it but I read a tweet that had the Warriors' tax bill after signing Boogie (like $34m) and what it would have been if KD took the max (like $54m).
So I don't have a real source yet.

I'm just glad The Oracle can have the proper send-off it deserves.

It is amazing what can happen when players actually have power. I say abolish the concept of the max contract but keep the cap.
Complete agree

Cousins wasn't getting any good offers. Took cheap money. He's hurt and there's chemistry issues. No biggie here. Now, if KD had left and not resigned.....

There is a case to be made that the Warriors offense was already maxed out without Boogie and they will be worse defensively with him. I'm not sure I buy that but there is a possibility that he could be a net negative.

Huh?
Boogie is statistically one of the best defenders in the NBA. I can't find the stats now, but he's been top 5 in multiple defensive advanced stats for several years. He gets a bad rap because he doesn't get a lot of blocks.
He actually defends the pick and roll very well for a big guy.

The Celtics should definitely not trade Jaylen Brown for Kawhi anymore. The 2019 season is already lost.

I'm reaching...for anything...but as an expert in physiology I imagine you could concede that a 7 ft 270 pound man might not come back from a Achilles injury with all his athleticism intact year one. You might also be willing to admit that it isn't unusual for NBA players to not put in maximum effort on the defensive end if they aren't getting looks on the offensive end. Boogie couldn't even behave on Team USA for a couple of weeks. I don't know....I'd like to think next years championship wasn't already decided.....maybe this thread would be more interesting if we all agree its over and wait till next summer to bump it when Anthony Davis takes the minimum to sign with Golden State.

I'm too lazy to post it but Enes Kanter burned Silver on Twitter pretty good. Photoshopped him in a warriors jersey.
