German Concentration Camps Factual Survey. Man. I have seen plenty of footage of corpses from the concentration camps, but never being moved and handled like this. The movement of the bodies...fucked up.

Steve Albini wrote:Whenever there's active promotion on the part of somebody else, whenever I see somebody all dolled up for a fancy photograph and someone's handing out flyers or whenever there's active promotion for something like that, as an imposition on my day, I hate all those people and I want them to fail. I have a visceral reaction to advertising and promotion. There's just something about salesmanship that grates on me on a very base level and I react very negatively towards it. I want those people to suffer and I want their enterprises to fail.

There's some seriously disturbing violence in that movie.

Probably made the right decision. But I laughed.

split - i thought this was well directed, and the performances were very good (obviously mcavoy, but the main girl was convincing)...i had the ending somewhat spoiled so i think that took a bit away from my experience

lego batman - will arnett is undoubtedly the greatest batman ever...anyway, this was funny enough but not as entertaining as the lego movie

E.T.

Not a film to watch before bed. The first half hour is actually scary. Brought me back to being terrified as a kid watching it. I wish I could watch this film objectively. No need. It's a master class in story telling. And direction production and if there's a film with a bigger heart and sadness and joy I don't know what it is.

Watched some making of doco by accident last night and that made me put it on. Spielberg is a master. The way he directed these kids and got these performances out of them was simply brilliant.

Magic. Just magic.

And they had the good sense and decency to never make a sequel. It would have never even come close to as good as the original. In the 80s, the birth cloud of the sequel era.

This film is 10/10 for me eternally.
