tried out a nearby persian place for our anniversary dinner last night; it exceeded expectations. i had skewered ground lamb and beef over rice; my wife had lamb fesenjan, which is a walnut and pomegranate sauce over a shank. everything was cooked perfectly.

have eaten here twice this past week. can't believe it took me this long to walk in, sit down, and eat some of the best pie i've ever had. good lord, not to mention the breakfast. this is a place where i plan on trying everything on the menu. the people are awesome too.

yeah, i had dinner there once. i had the veggie plate: it was really good. not sure if they serve it at lunch.

you should check out the patterson house for cocktails, monell's in germantown for breakfast (but go there while very hungry), or the catbird seat for dinner if you are able to pull some strings. also, barista parlor in east nashville for coffee. tom hanks got coffee there once, and i think of you as a kind of tom hanks figure in terms of likability.

also we have plenty of churches, mostly the crazy southern kind that instill a kind of guilty/horror in you for merely existing, so that's fun too
