a beast of a pork shoulder just got put on the big green egg....now I sit near it all day for 10 hours to monitor the temperature and drink beer and whisky....stop by if you're in the neighborhood

put an 8 lb pork shoulder on the green egg this morning..when I pull it off at 10 pm tonight we are then putting on a 16 lb brisket to smoke all night for the party tomorrow...the keg of Pliny gets delivered tomorrow morning at 11

Just back from a family reunion on the wife's side. The relative that hosted BBQed blue fin tuna fresh from his cabo trip. Keep in mind there was like 60 people there and more fish than could be eaten. Fish had an excellent smoked finish, top notch.
Two years ago he did a cod fish fry for his haul out of Alaska, wish I had those fishing skills.
