Big Wreck, I Mother Earth, Lifehouse, Matthew Good Band, Our Lady Peace, Silverchair, Sister Hazel, Tonic, Chevelle, Everclear, Vertical Horizon, The Verve Pipe

I'd say none of these are NU metal. I don't recall the others. Especially the Canadian bands, nothing metal about them.

The difference between a band like Fuel and a band like Lifehouse is that while they both may have ballad-y, sort-of-pop hits, Fuel mainly makes hard rock songs, while Lifehouse really only deals in pop rock.

Yes, I was least certain of Lifehouse. I remember Hanging By A Moment being huge.

Matthew Good Band made the best post-grunge album.

Are you referring to Beautiful Midnight? If you are, I agree. I adore that album, it's in my top 5.

As I'm gathering all the YouTube videos for the threads, one motif I am noticing popping up again and again in, like, 80% of these music videos is "hot" women staring at the lead singer, who is sad/disinterested. It's really hilarious, and everyone should keep an eye out for it as we go through these rounds.
