So you agree that you were wrong when you called The Mix Up a sequel to The In Sound?tragabigzanda wrote:We covered this earlier in the thread, Chud.cutuphalfdead wrote:That's not true at all. It's garbage compared to everything they did after it.i got bugs wrote:What's so bad about licensed to ill??
Granted it's not in the top Elite but it's good

It's not as good as the next 3 or 4 but it has a handful of great travkscutuphalfdead wrote:It's garbage compared to everything they did after it.i got bugs wrote:What's so bad about licensed to ill??

It really does. As far as debut albums go, it's still up there for me as one of the best. But holy fuck what happens next is just exceptional. And now so much of LTI feels dated and a bit silly. I still listen to it and enjoy it though.i got bugs wrote:It's not as good as the next 3 or 4 but it has a handful of great travkscutuphalfdead wrote:It's garbage compared to everything they did after it.i got bugs wrote:What's so bad about licensed to ill??

I'm not saying LTI is garbage, I'm saying compared to everything after it's garbage. That's an important distinction, and what I'm saying isn't as much a knock on LTI but a testament to how brilliant everything that came after it is.durdencommatyler wrote:It really does. How old are you, kid?cutuphalfdead wrote:Anyone who doesn't have Licensed to Ill at the bottom of their list needs a lobotomy.
I would tend to agree. But with the caveat that if you prefer Paul's Boutique, you're not necessarily wrong.zeb wrote:Ill Communication is their best record by far.
