We’ve both got the Switch as well, but that feels a lot different.

Yes, time is the main issue. I have around 300 games with the Switch and the Xbox, and haven’t even played many of them (at least less than an hour).

Yeah, the Switch is an excellent companion console. You will probably play it a lot more with a little one coming soon, right?

I’m not sure what the situation will be like. We’ve got the baby coming in February, my mother will be around a lot in March, we’ve got a big wedding planned for April, some family will stay here for 1-2 months in April-June, and my closest co-worker, is going on paternity leave and vacation from late February until July. So I will have to work extra hard at work. But I’m sure the Switch will be even better at times like that. I can pick it up, and play a few minutes whenever. Even when travelling.

I played the second half of Breath of the Wild almost entirely in handheld mode during random newborn naps and late night feedings. It was a godsend. Sounds like you have one busy 2020 in your future. When is the due date?

I’ll get an Xbox first. I just prefer everything from the controller (PS controllers are horrendous in comparison) to the UI. With their studio pickups the games will come, but I don’t play as many games as I used too so a lot of first party stuff I just don’t get too on either console anyway. Plus, Game Pass is insane value and I can play a ton through it.

I grabbed a PS4 halfway through this gen and I’ll probably do the same next time.

It's not accurate. A video was released that shows it's ports.

I think it is accurate. Microsoft came out and said the video AMD used was NOT accurate

Apparently I’m bad at linking.

As long as none of the cables are proprietary, I'm cool with it.

Report: Sony struggling with PS5 costs, price point uncertain
Bloomberg says the system currently costs $450 to make

This is not super surprising to me based on the specs leaked or released so far.

The big question is, do they take the loss and release it at $400 and upcharge controllers, accessories, etc. OR do they release it at $450 or more with a free game or service or something?

It's an ultimate game of chicken between Microsoft and Sony to see who announces their price first. If Xbox is close to $400, Sony will go $400. XBox will be more willing to take a loss with the price.

Gotta come with a year of PS+ and download codes for a bunch of Sony studio games, right? If it's backwards compatible with PS4 right away, then can box it with codes for GoW, TLOS, and HZD and spin that as value, even though they're basically giving those games away right now.

at this point with Sony games coming to all systems/PC and MS releasing games on Switch and Xbox Live on the Switch...why not a one console future? Just collaborate on the tech and move forward.

Ok then a 3DO thing where the technology is the same but you still have different manufacturers.

I think a better comparison would be PC with different manufacturers but the physical components would be the same for everyone, like those steam boxes Valve were thinking of making.
