While his/their last album is my favorite, im not into these two new songs as they just sound far too familiar. Including the recent release of big Red machine...it all felt rehashed.

I dont know.

New Pixies song is out. The vocal melody derailed it.

Chorus is pretty good but the verses are atrocious.

Finally got a chance to listen and I like the first one, not so much the second.

And I 100% did not know about Big Red Machine, so thanks for that. Going to listen to that today.

Really liking Weyes Blood's "Titanic Rising" -- this young woman has a voice that feels like it stops time:

Minimalist electronic afro-dub? Something like that. Anyway, I really dig it. Sort of like Atoms For Peace without any vocals.

I'm liking this. I'm getting the same kind of vibes as stuff like Off World, Kanada 70, Joyfultalk, etc. Not what I expected from this guy, as I only knew of his vocal contribution on the second Battles album, which was kind of reggae-esque.

Constellation has announced the four albums that will be making up their fall schedule, all of them returns for artists long associated with the label.

First, on September 6, is the new Sandro Perri album, Soft Landing, follow up to last year's In Another Life. The first album sample is a five minute excerpt of "Time (You've Got Me)," which will run for sixteen minutes on the album. Nice mellow soft rock that seems to be a little less preoccupied with conceptual premises in comparison to its predecessor.

Then, on September 20, is an album that seemed unimaginable only two years ago. Last year, Montreal band Fly Pan Am reunited to play a show of entirely new music. Since then they've booked some more shows, started working on a soundtrack, and recorded this brand new album, C'est ça, they're first since 2004's N'écoutez pas, which is one of my favorite albums. "Distance Dealer" is the album's lead single, a sort of shoegaze via kosmiche track that sees the band's love for My Bloody Valentine frontlined.

October 18 sees the release of Coin Coin Chapter Four: Memphis, the next album in Matana Roberts's Coin Coin series, following up 2015's River Run Thee. Currently available to stream is a three track run, "Raise Yourself Up," "Backbone Once More," and "How Bright They Shine." There's a band on this one again, as opposed to the previous album consisting only of layers of tracks performed solely by Roberts.

Lastly, on November 8, Sam Shalabi's Land of Kush returns with Sand Enigma, their first album since 2013's The Big Mango. "Safe Space" is the lead single from this release, and it's almost like the intervening six years never happened as the blend of psych rock, free jazz, and Arabic folk and classical styles is as potent as before, only with the Tropicalia influence apparently stripped out, or at least not present on this track.

All four releases can currently be ordered together at a bundle discount, and the four preview tracks are compiled into a playlist below:

New Raconteurs album somehow managed to gloss over how annoying I usually find Jack White. A few songs I like a lot actually.

It's an unexceptional record. But the home stretch is nice.
