That sucks. I have 2 units and about 2-3 years ago the main one went out. Of course it happened during the middle of summer and the house temp shot up to over 90*F. Had to wait a few days and found it it had bad, leaking pipes or something like that. A few weeks ago the smaller one went out (was blowing warm air). It needed a new fan and some other parts. I thought it was going to be over $1000. Thankfully I had previously signed up for a money saving plan and also the Technician didn't charge me for some of the parts. The bill was a little over $700...cheaper than I thought, but still a lot.

Good luck, I hope it's nothing major or expensive.
So far it was just the fan motor switch. About 200 bucks and we are cool for the fourth...

So we have a huge concrete area out the back of our house and little lawn/garden area. Mrs Rangi wanted somewhere to plant vegetables and after semi-successfully building her two planter boxes for rose bushes - I decided to bang this together over the weekend

My house has the same disease. Each year I say I will replace them next year.

It's not that I can't keep them clean, it's just that I give up cleaning them. I know a few gals that wish they had white cabinets and I personally think they have a screw loose.

You two, it's not that difficult to sand and stain them. Some new hardware and *poof* new cabinets!

My wife is hell bent on getting white cabinets to replace what we have now.

Clear coat white oak would be my choice. Maybe Ruddo can "poof" them for you, when she's tired of cleaning them.

We're renting from a friend and although he seems amenable to changes like carpets being ripped out, I doubt his wife would let me "poof" the kitchen cabinets.

We had white cabinets for 11 years, and they were the worst thing ever to keep clean. We now have lacquered timber, and they are loads better.

I'm glad to be moving, so I'll just be a good sport about the cabinets. The dishwasher makes up for my lifetime of white cabinetry woes. 8-)

I'm sure dust isn't just for white cabinets, but man it's awful seeing it. Still? Not as bad as seeing other people's crumbs inside the cabinets.

Just because your cabinets aren't white doesn't mean they're not filthy, you guys.
