chris h 2, the new hot bar/salad bar place down the street from my wife's office is the same owners as au cheval. we stumbled upon the fact that they serve au cheval burgers today, so i finally sampled what many say is the best burger in town. it was pretty awesome and i didn't have to wait two hours for one.

since it was nice out this past saturday, we went for a walk midday and ended up near ceres table, an italian place chris h 2 had recommended in the past. it was great; had a short rib hash dish and an interesting bloody mary. the wife had a grilled mozzarella and roasted tomato sandwich and a peach mimosa. we'll be heading back for dinner at some point.

Awesome! I think we're going to head there when we're downtown in a couple of weeks.
By the way, I'm working downtown on Friday and walking over to the place you just recommended. I'll let you know about the pastrami.
