I didn't know that was his treatment. I did hear him say he blamed chewing on bronze picks for getting cancer in the first place. Nevermind that he was a chain smoker.

Who knows if that’s actually how he was treated? Doesn’t seem very plausible. But that’s what he was saying. I remember seeing the interviews and thinking “WTF?”

No love for Push Comes to Shove or Dirty Movies? Fair Warning has some bangers when you factor in stone cold classics like Mean Street and Unchained.

6 more Dave songs:

Girl Gone Bad
Romeo Delight
Light Up the Sky
House of Pain
Take Your Whiskey Home
On Fire

Yes. I love both of those. Sinner’s Swing, too. I had to stop at 10 tho.

Also love On Fire and Girl Gone Bad from your list.

Fair Warning has its own unique vibe until you get to So This Is Love? That song just doesn't really fit. It's my favorite Dave album though.

Dang, this sucks.

Runnin' with the Devil is the first song I tried to learn on the guitar when I started in 2018.

Love his VH riffs

1984 was the first album I owned on CD. Eddie Van Halen was my favorite guitarist by miles as a young kid and teenager. For all the insanity, drama, and wildness associated with this band and EVH, he was surely a huge influence in my music taste growing up and to this day. What a sad day.
