Hot dog.

:nice:

It’s a good one for sure. Reception should be pretty universal. It’s a Pearl Jam rock song done with precision and power. Who Ever Said and Superblood were my favorite of the fast songs. The vocals stood out too. Super blood is a bit more straightforward than who ever said. Who ever said takes a few turns but the structure of superblood is pretty standard. And fucking awesome.
Great to hear Save You is a fav.

Can you tell us more about Quick Escape , Is that a faster track ??

definitely

I wish someone had asked the person who went to the listening party what register Ed sang it in
It’s not a screamer. I remember it being a bit like save you. More energy though. So lower register but powerful. There may be some screams in there but on the whole it not a habit/DTE/gonna SEE my friend. Goes well with the opener. 1-2 punch. I loved it.

thank you for this, I'm very hopeful!

I remember liking it. Big chorus. Anthem-y. Kiiiiind of sounds like a yield song...but meets lightning bolt. I remember thinking “this song could open a show” It was good.

Zero idea about lyrics. Lyrics only usually stick out for me on first listen if they make me cringe. Nothing about the song made me cringe. Can’t remember the lyrics at all.

So what about this "blistering" and "amazing" guitar solo in sbwm? In your opinion how does it rank among Mike's studio and/or live solos?

I remember hearing about the guitar solo from a tweet before I listened to the album. That comment was fresh on my mind when SBWM played. I remember thinking. There it is! And it was awesome. But that’s all I can remember now. Who Ever Said has one too.

It's a 10 min solo, starts out fast and only gets faster. You can hear Eddie in the background screaming "faster! faster! More intense! faster you dog!" and McCready weeping from the abuse (I think you can even hear whip sound effects). By the end of the solo there was literally smoke coming through the speakers at the listening party.
