Yeah, try that first. I don't know that they fixed the issue with the ipod touch battery so going from a fried battery to one that doesn't last very long isn't much of an upgrade.

Also iTunes is still a dick, but now it's a dick in several different places since it's being split up.

I have an iPod Nano with a fried battery that I need to replace. What should I do? Buy one on eBay ($100-$150), buy a full iPod from apple ($200), or invest in some other type of mp3 player and mp3 managing software?

Take it to a local third party dealer and have them fix it for $50. That’s what I did with my iPhone 5 last year, anyway.

I don't think it ruins old style ipods. You'll just have to manage the stuff on it via 3 different apps.

I use iTunes on Windows, and apparently that's not going anywhere for a long time, if ever.

I got a new PC and put itunes on there and plugged in my phone. I have like 20 something GB of personal music on there not bought through itunes. If I want to sync with the new computer it wants to delete all my songs cause the iphone is synced to itunes on the old computer. Any way around this? I could re-add everything but it'd be a pain.

There are third party desktop apps that should let you do whatever you want. Or at least there used to be.

I’ve got both Apple Music and Spotify, and prefer Apple Music. Works perfectly with Apple TV with an iPhone, or with a PC via Itunes.

Have spotify as well because of a google home speaker, and because a cousin I share playlists with there.

I love spotify. I have no issues with interface or amount of content, for the most part. Amazon Music and Apple music seem a little clunkier to me.

Yeah, but I used to spend more per month on songs/albums before spotify. Now for less than $20 a month we have a family spotify account shared by 5 people. And we our music library is now a million albums wide. Fucking great value.
