Had just over 300 of these, collected between ages 5 and 11. Got my mother to agree to me hosting a party for me and some friends when I reached 300. Two girls showed up that had a crush on me. Stopped collecting shortly after. Mostly stopped with kids toys by 12, and converted to video games. Although I did build some lego between 12-15.

Oh yeah, I was all about Matchbox cars when I was a kid. I had 3 cases of the things plus a shoebox. Give me those and a sand pit and I was sorted for the day.

This is one of the cases I had - each would hold 4 trays of 20 or so cars.
