Re: Fall 2013 North American Tour

I've reordered my choices three times now. I'm sure I'll end up with nothing.
yeah this is awesome. how many people have bitched about this in this thread?B wrote:This is kinda cool.
Pearl Jam has decided to include a GA pit in front of the stage at each venue taking up 1/3 - 1/2 of the floor. Ten Club has acquired the entire GA pit for fan club members only; therefore there will not be a need for early entry. Please know there are less GA pit tickets available in the drawing then there are reserved seated tickets. If you are not interested in standing for the entirety of the show, do not enter the drawing for GA tickets.
That is cool. I hope they do that in Australia instead of people waiting from 8am in the morning in order to get front row.warehouse wrote:yeah this is awesome. how many people have bitched about this in this thread?B wrote:This is kinda cool.

Yeah. So B, you might choose:logan5ive wrote:I don't think so....that's why there's a priority ranking for all the tickets you choose.B wrote:Hey, if I go in for GA and Res for the same show, I get to pick the one I prefer, right?
(for what that's worth)
Except... I'm not a member so maybe don't do that.WtOB? wrote:That is cool. a one off gimmick show announced three months early hardly qualifies as part of the tour.
is that any more of an unreasonable reaction than boycotting a show you otherwise want to see (and have the resources to see) because, in a country the size of a continent, the band isn't playing every large and medium sized city?verb_to_trust wrote:I've been reading a little Pearl Jam 10 Club Members on Facebook since the announcement and its very interesting to see that while there is some disappointment in the announcement/tour locations, the blind loyalty still shines through: "I was hoping for Chicago, but I guess I'll have to fly to Buffalo." Have to think some of the tour coverage frustrations in the USA are due to fanbois who will drop hotel and plane money for good old fashioned grunge rock. I have never been to a show not in Illinois or a bordering state....I do my part to keep the whole supply and demand thing real. I wish others would do the same. Unless you live in South Dakota or something you shouldn't be flying to rock shows.
Don't be an such an apologist. Unless there are plans to tour next Spring/Summer its completely reasonable to take issue with this "mini tour". There is a big difference between "not playing every single medium sized city" and what this band has done tour wise for the last several years now. It actually doesn't bother me much, I've seen the band plenty of times (many of which were when they still made interesting music). I'm simply pointing out that if fans didn't enable cherry picking on the band's part, maybe they would be forced to suck it up and at least make a half assed effort to do a real North American tour.stip wrote:is that any more of an unreasonable reaction than boycotting a show you otherwise want to see (and have the resources to see) because, in a country the size of a continent, the band isn't playing every large and medium sized city?verb_to_trust wrote:I've been reading a little Pearl Jam 10 Club Members on Facebook since the announcement and its very interesting to see that while there is some disappointment in the announcement/tour locations, the blind loyalty still shines through: "I was hoping for Chicago, but I guess I'll have to fly to Buffalo." I will be going for OKC and Dallas in that order. I will have fun and enjoy it, unless i'm stuck behind tall people in the pit, in which case I will try and trade or just start spilling beer on people till they move..
