There's also a couple tracks with a date claiming to be from their first rehearsal with Dave on 8/5/91. This includes another practice recording of Instrumental #1, with the whole band playing while Ed tries some vocal ideas; and then a version of Wash, with a brief snippet of Jeremy at the end.
I wish that Leash demo is the same of this:

It’s funny, I am at a point where I don’t have that much of an interest in these sorts of things. I would love to hear stuff that they did in other periods, but the genesis of this band and everything that’s come out, been leaked, etc. this is just not the holy grail for me anymore. I’d love to hear them jamming around the ‘95-‘00 period, and I would like to hear what, if anything, if leftover from Gigaton...but that period in and around the release of Ten and Vs. we have heard quite a lot from. I doubt you’d find anything earth shattering. Their Kashmir isn’t hidden in there.

The shameless ass-kissing for a pile of scattered lossy tracks is sad but typical.
No wonder this guy doesn't want to share this stuff properly.

Stone and Dave seem to be fairly locked in; Jeff seems to be struggling to vibe with what’s going on. Not terribly interesting, this one. Just a lot of aimless guitar riffing and funk-rock drumming by Dave. Dave in particular goes off the rails towards the end, like he’s this close to just taking a drum solo. Interesting to think about Jeff’s past comments about struggling to connect with Dave musically. Based on the studio output, I’d always been kind of skeptical of that, because it seemed like they vibed really well. But hearing something like this, and now I’m thinking that maybe Jeff had to put in more effort than he felt was reasonable to create some cohesive rhythm parts with Dave.
maybe it wasn't Jeff having to make an effort insomuch as it was that Jeff wasn't a strong improviser. at least at that point in his career, or not the kind that could hang with Dave's turbo funk. i feel like Jeff has gotten better over time. maybe i am imagining that. But early pearl jam doesn't scream 'we have a good a bassist'. I don't get the sense Jeff was some dynamo behind the scenes in early PJ and then when it came to album cutting time he got stuck with pedestrian 'basslines' ... half the time its just him playing a root chord note on those early albums. Dave A was probably better at his craft at that point and Jeff didn't have the goods to roll with it

1993-02-25 06 Cready Stomp
This isn’t exactly Cready Stomp. It’s similar in tone, key, and tempo, but it’s not really the same riff. This is a bit darker and more bass-driven. They spend ten minutes loosely exploring the idea, and while it never turns into the track we heard on the Vs. reissue, they’re similar enough that I wouldn’t be surprised if this were the genesis for that track.
It's a damn shame they're never develop this tune into something more completed. And i like this one better then the released version. A real highlight from the bunch.

Wow, this ‘93 rehearsal tape is great!
Stone, Jeff and Dave were a really great musical engine room.
