Mason Jennings has always been a little weird and off kilter.ghost wrote:I was so excited for this project but it's turned into a big ol' dud for me. Stone working with Chamberlain and a real folk singer who could interpret his more off kilter stuff should have been a slam dunk. Yet it's this weird electro rock thing. Not for me.
Yeah, Painted Shield was one of my favorite albums last year and this one, if it is for the aforementioned II, is on pace with that. It will also mean Painted Shield will have released two albums since Pearl Jam’s last one (I am only being kind of unfair).Strat wrote:Mason Jennings has always been a little weird and off kilter.ghost wrote:I was so excited for this project but it's turned into a big ol' dud for me. Stone and mason make complete sense to me. I live this collaboration
That's what I'm saying, it seemed like a perfect fit. But it does nothing for me.Strat wrote:Mason Jennings has always been a little weird and off kilter.ghost wrote:I was so excited for this project but it's turned into a big ol' dud for me. They really took a lot of time to release the first one tough.liebzz wrote:Yeah, Painted Shield was one of my favorite albums last year and this one, if it is for the aforementioned II, is on pace with that. i like the song, drums and stone especially. but yes, i audibly chuckled when the video cut to pensive mason on a playground swing.VinylGuy wrote:man, matt is on fire...and i love those licks by stone....the video is embarrassing tough...that cut with Mason at the beginning was laughable.
