I hope this is true. Shows a conscious effort to not make another Lightning Bolt.

I don't know if there's a whole 'lost album' but they've acknowledged they started sessions with Brendan, decided it wasn't working and went back to the drawing board with Josh Evans.

IIRC, Quick Escape and Retrograde were songs recorded during that time - per Wikipedia, Brendan's credited as playing keys on both.

I have a feeling these two songs weren't wholly completed with Brendan though. Didn't Jeff say something about the Retrograde outro probably not happening with O'Brien?
