I'm sorry, but to suggest that Jill's artistic impression upon Ed is in any way comparable to Yoko Ono's on John is just insane. Yoko was a significant conceptual artist who introduced a once in a generation talent into her world and helped redefine him as an artist and who he viewed as a creative partner and equal for the last twelve-thirteen years of his life.
Jill...was a model who ended up with Ed.
If you can prove me wrong I'll change gladly my tune, but I see no evidence that Jill led Ed in a direction that was either necessary or unfamiliar.
Oh man, you thought I was serious? Of course Jill isn't anything comparable to Yoko. And besides, everybody knows Linda McCartney broke up the Beatles.

My apologies. If you had been serious it sadly wouldn't have been the most absurd thing I'd read surrounding this band in this past few months.

I actually like the No Code one and if it was 20 instead of 40 I'd get it for my brother's dog.

Things are getting interesting over at the Pit.

Seriously? Shameful and embarrassing. Selling out is one thing, this simply shows contempt for the fans. And it's hardly the first example, just one more in a long line of business practices that demonstrate that not only does the band not care about it's audience, they actively despise it. Enjoy the huge piles of cash, guys -- you won't be getting another cent from me.
They are even managing to alienate the guys on THE PIT.

It makes me wonder if the merchandise side of the band is an almost entirely separate company which the band no longer is concerned with. One that has to break even at the very least in order to stick around and not get outsourced to LiveNation.

This stuff was so easy for me to ignore before signing up here. I was/am a happy fan with my bootlegs and dvds and 3 tshirts and a couple concert posters. You all are spoiling it!

Full disclosure ... if I was in a band, and someone came to me and said, "Hey can we make some dog collars with your album art on it and sell them." I'd probably declare it hilarious and say fuck it, go ahead.

Which would be a major miscalculation of judgement if you spent most of your career discussing how evil corporate america is.
