Great season. I officially love this show. Season One wasn't just luck. It wasn't just a gimmick. It wasn't just lightning in a bottle. The whole team is on point. This is a great show.

The whole Nate turn was too quick. Especially the way he freaked out at coach saying "you abandoned me". Motherfucker you were part of the diamond dogs. You could have brought that shit up any time.

i agree, though the show sort of needed an adversarial character once Rupert was out of the picture...at least temporarily.

- also, they could go either way with Nate, like he's redeemable, and realizes he's being used by Rupert at some point, or he remains a heel and is further shamed when AFC Richmond beats West Ham.

Fuck him. He’d still be washing jerseys and jock straps if it wasn’t for Ted. And like Ruddo said, he was there every fucking day. It’s not like Ted is unapproachable. Your situation is a product of your own insecurities and fears. Not anything Ted did.

The thing is, you have to understand that Nate’s turn started before Ted Lasso ever showed up. Ted represents two things to Nate: 1.) someone who was not deserving of his position because he was a gimmick hire while Nate did the work to know the sport 2.) an absent father. Go back and watch the episode with Nate’s parents and you’ll see why he said Ted should be back in in Kansas with his son. It was meant to hurt Ted deeply, but he’s also an avatar of his father. Nate was already abandoned before Ted.
