After finishing the second season last night, the answer is unequivocally Rip.
Same here, 100% Rip.

- Spoiler: show
- We just finished S4E3. Jimmy’s farewell for the spin-off show. His lady friend is all pissed at him because he wouldn’t choose her and leave the ranching behind. Stupid bitch. He chose her twice and almost died both times. Fuck her.

Just finished and caught up with it.
- Spoiler: show
- I’m ready for Jamie to just kill himself.
I also really like Carter. John shines best when he’s imparting wisdom and actually enjoying spending time with the young ones.

4 episodes into the new season. I love the Texas cowboys so much.

Me too. A friend of mine listed off who each person in our group would be, and I got voted the Lloyd. Not mad at it.

“You ever plow a field? To plant the quinoa or sorghum or whatever the heck it is you eat. You kill everything on the ground and under it. You kill every snake, every frog, every mouse, mole, vole, worm, quail, you kill them all. So, I guess the only real question is: how cute does an animal have to be before you care if it dies to feed you?”

“ Well, I believe in the soul, the cock, the pussy, the small of a woman’s back, the hanging curveball, high fibre, good Scotch, that the novels of Susan Sontag are self-indulgent, overrated crap. I believe Lee Harvey Oswald acted alone. I believe there ought to be a constitutional amendment outlawing astroturf and the designated hitter. I believe in the sweet spot, soft-core pornography, opening your presents Christmas morning rather than Christmas Eve, and I believe in long, slow, deep, soft, wet kisses that last three days. Good night.”

It boggles my mind how I am a fan of both baseball and Kevin Costner but have never seen Bull Durham.

Hell yeah bammer.
We are at a stupid stand still on episode 5 s4 currently. My wife is doing this thing she does where the show gets really good but she decides to take a break from it for an unpredictable amount of time. We could pick it back up tonight or a year from now. Same thing happened with Ozark.

I’m 5 eps in, will read thru this thread once I get caught up. Thoughts as I go thru the series, maybe already covered. Sorry if I’m Classic B’ing the thread.
What’s with John calling in a favor with the priest? After service the priest has a private conversation we don’t see with a young man I didn’t recognize. Who is that? Did he witness something? I missed something here for sure.

I love the sound of the actor’s voice who plays Rip.
