For all the hassle, will you really be able to tell streaming Flac through a mac device? When you are currently building your record collection for the prime listening pleasure.....is it worth it?

I think you are maybe going down the wrong rabbit hole. I think thats what im getting at.
Spend the money on upgrading your needle and buying records. Let streaming top out at wav or 320 KBPS or whatever.

Well to be fiscally responsible, I have to limit my vinyl purchases somewhat...
I also think that there are probably more modern recordings I love, like records by Kendrick Lamar and Big Boi, that may in fact sound better in high-resolution digital than on vinyl. And the upgrade from Amazon Music to HD is only another five bucks a month.
YOU CAN'T TALK TO ME ABOUT FISCAL RESPONSIBLITY WHILE GOING ON ABOUT DAC AND IPADS AND WIRING AND HD MUSIC FILES

I’m being 100% serious when I say this: this is largely an investment in my sanity, my family, and my sobriety. Being stuck inside with a toddler for the better part of the year has made me realize I need good healthy ways to keep myself present and grateful, and great sounding audio is an easy way for me to do that
Absolutely. Would never take that away from you. But i think spending money on buying more records, instead of trying to get the absolute highest studio quality STREAMING music seems a bit off center and misguided? Of course im projecting a bit, but i rather spend my money on getting those records and the routine of listening to a record than spending the money on also making sure my streaming music is the highest of quality.

I mean really....are you going to make sure you get only the most pristine and perfectly pressed from original tape vinyls and nothing else?
C'mon guys.

Your decisions are awful and you should feel shame.
Upgrade your needle, buy a few more records. Enjoy your streaming at a rate that most humans on the planet can't tell a difference.
Now leave me alone.

I'm with strat on this. Worrying that much and spending more money for a little bit better quality of streaming seems a little much. But I'm am old school "collector". I can't collect streaming so I'm weird like that
