It depends on what kind of person you are and what kind of visit you are intending on. If you ask in advance and asked what kind of visit they would like, you could cater to their wishes. Openness and honesty and communication is key.

I know Starbucks wants to phase out single-use, disposable cups, but their mobile order feature is, from what I can tell, wildly popular. I wonder how they imagine pre-making drinks for people who order through the app while also asking that person to bring a reusable cup.

In Spanish we use periods instead of commas for thousands, and commas instead of periods for decimals. It's caused a lot of confusion for me

O, I got a zoo, I got a menagerie, inside my ribs, under my bony head, under my red-valve heart—and I got something else: it is a man-child heart, a woman-child heart: it is a father and mother and lover: it came from God-Knows-Where: it is going to God-Knows-Where—For I am the keeper of the zoo: I say yes and no: I sing and kill and work: I am a pal of the world: I came from the wilderness.

Why is it that one” plays” an instrument? Why not like, “operate” an instrument? “Perform” me a song instead of “play”?You don’t play other arts and crafts. You don’t say play me a painting. I play a mean knit.

You ever notice some people walk in a way that makes them completely repugnant? Like, wtf is wrong with you? Are you under attack? Walk right.

The belief that non-scientific approaches to knowledge are invalid is itself unscientific. Discuss.

"Dark star" - besides being a cooler name - is a more apt name than "black hole". Why did we stop using it?

Probably bc “Dark Star Sun” isn’t as good of a song title

Because holes can swallow things, but stars cannot?

Stars swallow lots of things, don't they?

I’ve only seen mouths on stars in cartoons but I assume animators got their inspiration from somewhere, so yes?

We should change stars to "yellow/red/etc holes".
