Presumably those places will pass more restrictive immigration laws driven by the aforementioned xenophobia. Hence trying to get in early.
Am I good at any point in the future if I can prove I didn’t vote for Drumpf?

The second we cross the border I'm going to become a "Build The Wall" guy for Niagara Falls

Even if you get in early, aren't you still just the gross Americans to most of the Frenchies around you? Just because you see yourself as one of the good ones doesn't mean your new countrymen would.

I'm sure there's a Trump clip somewhere where he discusses this very issue. No, it needs to be a wall.

The Americans in France or wherever will no longer have a 2nd Ammendment to confuse things, and no access to assault rifles. Pretty sure things will be considerably more peaceful for those folks.
Thanks for the responses. I have to say that Trag and Mickey's thoughts about leaving the US resonate with me. And even Bammer's thoughts to be part of the solution.
I just find the state of the US to be so sad right now, and sad in such a preventable way.
Stay safe everyone.

Totally and just as fucked up. Similar to the Australian Port Arthur massacre as well.
The test though is when it happens how do you respond? What do you do to try and stop it happening again?

Thought we were past the “any action taken must mean it never, ever happens again” point, but trolls gonna troll.

What else could the point of that post be? All you do on the board any more is try to disprove people’s COVID beliefs or gun control discussions. And not even with anything of substance. Just “this is where that one thing happened one time, why live there when you can live in the US where that one thing happens all of the time?”

I thought the Washington Post link I shared was pretty good.
