my man got his wish. got called out to the hospital this morning. his oxygen reading was around 70 and they werent sure how long it would be. my brother and I sat with him for a few hours through dr visits and a psych eval (needed for hospice care) and everyone was on the same page. lets make him as comfortable as possible and let his life run its course.

the nurse gave him a shot of morphine and we left because he was fussing while we were still there. 30 minutes after we got home they called to let us know he had passed away at 11:55 am

im thankful that he loved my mom as much as he did and loved my brother and i just the same. I am going to miss him. if you stumble upon any westerns like gunsmoke, cheyenne, wells fargo or larmie think of him for a minute

Found out last night my 93 year old grandmother had been in the hospital for a few days with a UTI and sinus infection. Her oxygen was also low so they were worried about pneumonia and she was having difficult swallowing food. Last I heard she was doing better today and should get to go home soon, but at 93 anything that hits could be the last. After receiving that message from my mom she then lists bullet points out with other family friends with serious health issues.

Getting old sucks.

Dad went to the emergency room last night for numbness and nose bleeding. They don’t think it’s a stroke, but are running tests today.

I know…Stress and dehydration they think. I’m sure the former is mostly tied to the situation with my grandmother, though she is home now.
