I thought it was good, not great. Definitely could have used a more concise edit. Some weird choices didn't land smoothly for me. Not feeling a rewatch anytime soon. It's somewhat frustrating to me that the material is so tragic and fascinating, I just know a movie about it could have been better. I didn't love Leo's performance.. a better performance of that character would have improved it quite a bit alone.

I mean, that was the movie Marty was cooking and then it changed because Di Caprio felt it was more interesting to see the story from his character, something im not against to, and i think it really works well.
I havent read the book.

It's growing on me, in memory. It's really good, I was just hoping for something a bit better, and it felt so close. Very dissatisfying in that way. Marty edged me and didn't give me the ultimate reward for my patience.

It's an absolute masterpiece for me. Some of the shots in Mollie's house had me gasping for air

I guess I have a real problem with Leo that most people don't seem to have... feels like he's always Leo

That walk-through tracking shot when the house was full of people was beautiful.

I normally agree with that but didn’t find that to be the case here. I lost him in the role.
It’s verging on masterpiece.

yeah, the movie will stay with you for a while. Some of the best shots Marty gave us in a while and the cast is superb.
A rewatch is coming soon for sure.
