I heard that Barbie and her friends outwit the evil dumb patriarchy by using their feminine trickery. Is this true?

a line from Barbie, apparently:
"We need to disabuse all these barbies of the patriarchy by allowing them to live with the cognitive dissonance required to be a woman under the patriarchy"
and she keeps dropping these extremely literate and well articulated lines and she's supposed to be a plastic doll idiot the rest of the time

from shapiro:
the leftists say "why do you take this movie so seriously? How dare you take this so seriously?"
"Well because this is a movie where hundreds of millions of dollars are being spent to get people to watch it, which has a heavily political message, is explicitly designed to divide men from women, has negative messages directed at kids, is supposed to be a kids movie. it is marketed to be pg but it's a pg-13 movie. It is marketed to moms who are going to skip the pg-13 rating and bring their children anyway. It is a very culturally relevant moment. And so the entire leftists' attempts to play the face tatoo syndrome, watch as we take a piece of children's IP and wear its skin as a mask like Hannibal Lecter, and they notice it and say ahhh you noticed it you're obviously very upset. I find it upsetting when material based on children's' IP, marketed to little girls actually ends up being angry feminist clap trap that alienates men from women undermines basic human values and promotes falsehood all at the same time. And I think a lot of people are going to be mad."
He predicts ticket sales will fall off drastically after the first weekend because advertising was very well done but people will quickly find out it actually sucks.

Can you please stop posting what he said about the movie? Who cares? Are you trying to further his agenda on this? We get it, he's a piece of shit. Or is that not what you are suggesting?

Don't let up, tree. Help them push on past the emotional outbursts. They'll have to engage sooner or later. Then comes acceptance.

I actually do like Ben Shapiro most of the time. He seems right about this.

Just two normal guys sharing their opinions about a movie they haven't seen.

I don't see why Ben Shapiro would risk his reputation to lie about the Barbie movie

Tree do you also think that first person shooter video games groom young men into going around killing people? Does Shapiro?

I mean I disagree with him on things like Free Will and Abortion, and he could tone down his presentation; attitude and talking speed a bit, but he's generally a very smart, thoughtful guy

I don't know. Haven't heard him discuss it. Wouldn't blame anyone for having either opinion on this subject, though. It's a tough one. Certainly wouldn't hurt to not let your kids play violent video games.

To think a movie like Barbie is dangerous is so funny to me.
