I have been in front for other shows in my life - RHCP, Foo Fighters, Black Keys, Springsteen… nothing quite like this here. There just aren’t words available to describe what Pearl Jam’s energy, or more the manner with which that energy passes between the band and the crowd, is like. From that vantage point, sure you are giving some of that energy, but you’re also receiving it from both ends and it’s overwhelming. I kind of felt almost emotional and hard to keep it together, really during Setting Sun and Yellow Ledbetter, but also when they bust out a Leash and you get this macro level building reaction. No words even if I shared even more.

Really fantastic last night. Ed prefaced it with a story of Little Stevie begging them to release it as a single so he could will it into becoming a huge hit.

That stretch sucked.

Andrew Watt really played well. It was nice that he was actually plugged in and up front in the mix. Mr. Soprano was also plugged in and noticeable.

Eddie played guitar less than in previous tours. I assume Josh was playing his parts, but I couldn't really tell.

When they did RVM at Wrigley, Ed didn’t play during the verses and even part of the choruses and Josh wasn’t onstage for that one. Just Mike and Stone.

Oh, I know. I was just saying there was no one extra covering for him at Wrigley. (At least on that tune)

If you all weren’t blown away by Song of Good Hope last night, check your soul

Glen is the real deal

I understand why Ed toured with him for so long

I thought most of the show was pretty tight. Gimme Some Truth sounded a but off. Glorified G was missing the backing vocals at first. That's all I really noticed. See what happens when Ed doesn't get wasted.

What was the video playing during DTE? Definitely Todd McFarlane. Definitely not the DTE video.

It looked like the old Spawn HBO show with the chains flying around

I wonder if this was the backdrop for Chicago as well. It didn't look like the DTE video.

Oh man!

Looks like a great set. Glad to hear y'all had a great time. It would have been nice to see Glorified G and I Am Mine (two songs that I've never seen live but adore).
