My used CD buying is a little out of control, but I'm striking while they are cheap. All these vinyl hipsters are going to soon be priced out and then start making CDs "cool". And expensive.

I still by new CDs for artists I really like for a variety of reasons (they sound better in the car and I want a physical copy for when the entire digital economy collapses under the weight of it's own propensity to fraud and exploitation). I also think you lose so much just streaming or buying a digital copy, namely a list of all the people who worked on the album. And you can also get clues to what sounds you're hearing because people will often be credited with all the instruments they played.

I rip them and drop them in iTunes and then scan the physical CD art to use as the artwork in iTunes.

For that reason, I like the digipack because you can flatten it and include the spine in the scan.

That’s where I stand too, I’m just amassing as much as my current hard drives can handle for the time when I have to start living offline, I might starve but if i don’t get deaf by then I’ll be fine music wise.

I would use Spotify a lot more if it let you scroll through album art. That would be such a simple addition, I don't know why they don't do it.

I remember wanting to listen to Dave Grohl play for Naked Raygun, but when I search them, there are multiple albums with various drummers, and it would have been amazing to have that information maintained across formats.

I was texting Ruddo from Keith's CDs in Burlington, NC.

They had a collection of old-school Pearl Jam bootlegs.

Nice, I used to have both the “Monkeywrench” and “Dangerous Mind” ones. What are they going for?
