If you want gun control in this country, here's what you do:
Have some open-carry marches for anti-MAGA causes with predominately armed black demonstrators holding AR-15s who are legally permitted to carry their weapon. And really that's it. Keep doing it at an increasingly large scale until the establishment becomes afraid.
Of course, these days federal agents will probably open fire and there will be a blood bath. Sigh.

This is going to sound made up, but like Han Solo, I swear it’s true. All of it. I’ve shared in the potus thread about my former student ICE kidnapped. He’s still in limbo. His father was sent to Guatemala. I still have his brother in class. Today after class he told me he was supposed to be with them when it happened except he was doing work for my class. He goes, “You saved me,” and I thought it was meant to just be funny because it’s just a funny way to look at homework in a completely unfunny time to be alive. But then he genuinely hugged me.

Its crazy how many stories ive heard of teachers being ...on the front lines...so to speak. It's absolute bullshit that is what it has come to, alas, teachers saving the day.
