wow what an average setlist. i've already seen release and oceans, and i always love release, but don't have to have it, and I am over oceans. They just don't seem to be able to get Oceans back to a high quality level live... Mtv unplugged might have actually been their best one (please link me to a live Oceans that i better than Mtv unplugged, I would love to hearit)... and I don't care about chloe/crown of thorns, and neither should you. How many people actually gave a crap about Andy Wood and don't tell me you actually like the way mother love bone sounded. He was their friend, not mine; people die every day. All this Andy Wood nostalgia by PJ fans is silly. Like he was some magic pre-PJ prophet or something. The ancient magic scroll before the book of PJ Genesis. If you aren't from seattle in the 80s, and didn't wear lace gloves on stage, then that song is 'not for you'... but if you did happen to listen to Mother Love Bone before anyone knew of PJ, then good for you. I hope you enjoyed tonight's rendition. I personally get no tingly boner from it, but I hope you did.

not a single song from No Code tonight

good thing my tix are for night 2

Is this 96 up guy for real? Wow, what a tool. It was a great show. Don't know what more you could expect from the band at this stage.

So... every song but the flubbed Pendulum at the start was good to great. Sirens and Swallowed Whole were much improved for Worcester. Stone actually looked happy playing Pearl jam songs and Eddie was about as intense as a 50 year old can be. He tossed his acoustic guitar during Sirens and was kicking lights off the stage during Alive. And I finally got to hear Oceans. Fantastic night.

My friend's been to about 15 shows and said Randall's 2 96 and MSG 2 98 are only shows better than tonight.

I got it! Andy Wood released inside your mom while they were having sex in the ocean. Dude, you have every right to hate those songs.

Seriously, when did being "over" a song become a valid criticism for hearing a song live?

Yeah, because the 97% of PJ fans that haven't heard it live are over "Oceans". They haven't played it here in the Pacific NW since 1992.

Fucking troll.

PJ Fact: Oceans has been played on average 1.2 times per year over the last 15 years.

I don't know how they have anything left in the tank for tomorrow.

Great show. The section I was in (122-- 10C ticks) wasn't all that raucous, though. I think I was the only one excited when Sleight of Hand came on. Then everyone spring out of their seats for JB. Another trend I saw was people darting for concessions/pissers when new songs played.

My tickets for tomorrow are nose bleeders but I hope that Hard to Imagine in the sound check happens. And I certainly hope No Code gets some love.
