Five years ago you were much less odious and could actually hold a conversation with your peers without trying to outrage. Matts staying with pj cause stone has incriminating pictures of him from last years Christmas party and is threatening to release them. Stone is only staying for the money as he needs all the money he can get to fuel his addictions (whippits and creepy doll making). Jeff is staying out of loyalty (read: unrequited love) for stone, and eddies only staying so he can write off his surfing trips round the world as a business expense and pay off all the lawsuits from people he's maimed while axe tossing.

Oh come on we all know Stone Gossard doesn't own any incriminating pictures where he isn't the main focus.

He wasn't always though, he had to adjust to the band's level of egomania as part of his rehab program to stay clean.

Have Pearl Jam played any Matt songs on their current tour? It looks like the lowest common denominator in the fan base is finally getting what they want...safe, boring setlists without those pesky "experimental" songs that suck the energy out of the room.

It's as simple as an album tour with PJ vs a few shows with SG. I wouldn't be surprised if 2015 is a PJ side project year with maybe a recording session therefore leaving SG to record and tour their next album. 2016 will be the next year for PJ album/tour if we're lucky. This will be a 3-4 yr cycle.

Also, Matt will still be raking in money from those SG shows as he's a part of that company. The stand in drummer will be paid for a months work (around $50-100k I'd assume depending on the amount of shows and time frame.)
