This is insane.

I literally hate Matt Cameron so much more now actually realizing that he tried for all of 3 weeks and then gave up forever

Do you really think he gave up? Or, you know, adjusted his playing based on feedback from the rest of the band?

Do you really think he gave up? Or, you know, adjusted his playing based on feedback from the rest of the band?
I recall an interview where Matt said as much; that he learned over time that his job in Pearl Jam is to hold back and get out of the way of the vocal, which is very different to what he did in Soundgarden.

i was front row between stone and ed for that show. the ray of light tag on daughter and save it for later were pretty phenomenal.

I don't know, changing drummer can fundamentally change the feel of a band's songs to the point where it's not enjoyable. I saw the reformed Black Sabbath twice and I spent both shows being really annoyed by the guy they had on drums. Plenty of people feel that way about Om after Emil Amos took over on drums, etc.
