I think you're missing my point in your quickness to apologise for Pearl Jam, stip. My point is this and only this: flashing one's body part and saying 'Sign this!' is a pretty well-known fan sentiment in rock music. Countless comedies have parodied it. This was all the woman was doing, flashing her tits. I was not saying anything was *wrong* with the other fan actions that I listed, only that they are the actions of devoted fans. They are fine actions, but equally pointless actions. BEING A FAN IS NEEDLESS ENTERTAINMENT. So is flashing one's tits, sometimes. Or pulling moonies out of car windows, or whatever bro's do these days. For fuck sake, let's not tell off women for flashing their tits. If we really care about it, let's boycott Mardi Gras. FFS, man. What I lead with there is *everything* to do with the point I'm making, and nothing to do with Pearl Jam's music (do I have to keep reminding you that I like most of Lightning Bolt?). WCT said the following:

I don't give a fuck if Ed is a raging misogynist, although it's definitely not without the ballpark of reason. However, I believe that the rant he gave that night was absolutely full of raging misogyny. Actually, having devoted most of my life to Pearl Jam fandom makes me even more upset to read these things about Ed berating people in public. I guess this makes sense. Your initial response to that awesome Batman San Francisco thing for the kid with cancer was that it was just a way for people without cancer to feel good about themselves. So it stands to reason that one obnoxious drunken rant over a 20+ year career negates a life of supporting woman's issues.
