I have only Game of Thrones and perhaps The Americans ranked higher than True Detective, but the list always changes. Great fuckin' show. Emmy Awards all around.

Well that ending was amazing. McC is owning this show, but im glad Woody stole a few scene in this episode.
I love how they can go back and forth with being kinda the same guy.

the way Agent Chole walks so rigidly is disturbing. I think the angle of him being the real serial killer is just a big red herring, though.

Haha. No doubt. Can't wait for the next episode. I haven't been this scared about an episode of television in a long, long time.

Yep. It continually reminds me of that and Seven.

The scene at the bar was so jarring because it took everything from the desolate wasteland to a far more real world. Im sure it was intentional, but it also was in such stark contrast to the only other large crowd scene, the revival ministry.

Loved this episode.

And I agree with above, that it sure sounds like they like Russ for the most recent murder, but there's no way. Really small question: in either episode one or two, either Russ or Marty or both said in the present day that they "got their guy" or something to that effect. Was it "got the guy," "found the guy," or "caught the guy"? Because if it wasn't "caught the guy," then maybe Reggie dies in the firefight and that's why the case was just closed.

Also, whenever any show has someone in the interrogation room (especially someone like the B&E masturbator), I always think of the line: "The Box: where we match wits with the city's master criminals."
