Another question, i know you can take a few steps for your throw from the tee box, but how does it work for the rest of your throws? Like from the fairway, we didn't take any steps today, just kinda wound up and threw it, but i was wondering what the rules for that are

Just like a free throw, don't go over the line of your previous throw ;)

Ok, so you can back up and run up just not past your previous shot, that will be good to know when play a longer course, the one yesterday had the longest hole at like 350 and most under 200.

Yeah, but the biggest rule is to have fun. When I'm teaching the game to friends I'll often have them step out from a bad position to get a better throw and not penalize them for it on the scorecard because I'd rather them see what they're capable of when a tree isn't 3 feet in front of them.

We had a bunch of shots with trees right in the way like that, the course is in the woods for most of it, i even had one the i though i could still get around and have a decent shot at a birdy, but i threw that fucker right into the tree that was like 4 feet in front of me  it did make me wonder how often discs might need to be replaced from tree damage, cuz we tried to knock a few of those trees down

Throwing around trees is part of the game, for sure. And you will hit plenty of them, and know the sound well.

I actually don't like throwing brand new discs. It doesn't feel right in my hand if it isn't rough from hitting trees.

The right side of my chest, clear through to my elbow, is a wreck. Threw for about an hour on Saturday and I'm assuming I did it completely wrong since I'm still in pain :)

Yeah, Doc found a video of a pro teaching newbies how to throw. I must have looked like a total tard  Oh well, I had fun and that's all I care about. Just wish my peck wasn't still on fire every time I move my arm.
