If you do it right, sleep is comfortable.

That's the centre of where they are right now. During Riot Act it would have been I Am Mine, during Vs. I am thinking Dissident. These are songs of varying quality (subjectively), but they are songs that captured the sound of the band in their era, songs that while different from each other, sound uniquely like Pearl Jam, without straying too far.

Looking at those Morrison pics makes me wish I could grow a cool beard like he had. Mine comes in patches

Not that I can tell.

I'm assuming experimental for Pearl Jam. Something out of the anthem and/or straight ahead rocker.

If I were doing a mix of this, I'd include songs like:

Push Me, Pull Me
Aye Davanita
Hummus
Sleight Of Hand
Who You Are
Help Help
Cropduster
Evacuation
Happy When I'm Crying
WMA

I don't know what experimental is in PJ terms but Happy When I'm Crying is probably my favorite "non-traditional" PJ song.

non-traditional is a better phrase than experimental.

I wouldn't go that far but it's a top notch song.

Maybe. Might just be saying the same thing differently.

I'd like to add "Whale Song", "Red Dot", and "Strangest Tribe" to the mix.

Maybe some rockers too...I could see "Insignificance" maybe making my cut. There are some strange things (for PJ) happening. "Present Tense" could be a contender too b/c of the ending.

It's becoming apparent that any song that doesn't sound like a reincarnation of a previous song is experimental.
