Awesome.
The Reeds are so cool. I really enjoyed them mentioning Howland Reed crying when he heard about Ned. It was cool Jojen was able to calm Summer.

Olenna the Queen of Thorns was perfect. Her talking with Magery and Sansa was very cool and watching Joeffrey and Magery together was interesting. You get to see how messed up in the head he is and he is the guy running the kingdom

Jamie and Brienne fighting was pretty damn awesome. Sadly when the show ended i was like what? I want more!

great episode last night. it kills me that they have to cram so much story into 10 measly episodes. that hour just flew by

i'm a little surprised by the appearance of theon's storyline this early. though i think it's understandable that they're covering his torture now instead of having him just reappear two season from now as Reek.

That episode flew by for me too. I have not read the books and starting to feel if my attention wanders for a minute I'm going to miss something. Even then there's usually something the next day's web recaps that I inevitably didn't pick up on.
Trust me though, I'm not complaining about it being too dense to follow. I'm enjoying the heck out it even if I can't always tell you what this or that secondary or third character's name is!

That Brienne sure knows how to handle a sword.

Another 22 minute episode (at least that's what it felt like). The production values appear much larger this season, everything looks amazing. Dormer is kicking so much ass as Margery, I almost don't want to see a Dany centric episode and just focus on her.


One concern, major spoiler so don't click if you haven't read book three:

It feels like they are telegraphing the red wedding. I understand the need to establish the peripheral characters who betray Rob and remind people of the dangers of Frey, but it almost seems like some of the elements of the surprise are being removed to prepare viewers for it.

I haven't read the books, but in assorted reading about the show I am aware of the red wedding, and what occurs in a very broad sense. And I can tell you outside of some peripheral elements of getting the right people in that area, it doesn't seem telegraphed to me at all. It's another one of those, because you as someone who read the books knows what you're looking for you're seeing it. For those of us who have just watched the show, it doesn't feel like it's being telegraphed at all.

I think my favorite storyline is Jon Snow's, but this show is made of pure gold in every direction.

I thought this was by far the best scene of the episode.

If I had to rank the story arcs, this would be my ranking:

1. Arya, Gendry, etc.
2. Jon Snow, Mance Rayder, the White Walkers, and basically everything north of the wall
3. Kings Landing (I know this is very general, but there's a lot in this one)
4. Bran, Hodor, Osha, Rickon (although this is about to get really good with the Reeds)
5. Rob Stark, Talisa, Cat Stark, etc.
6. Brienne and Jaime
7. Daenerys Targaryen, Jorah, etc.
8. Stannis, Davos, Melisandre
9. Theon

The worse thing about Arya's arc is they are cutting out a huge chunk of her time in the riverlands it seems. I think it takes away from the feel the book gave you of the desolation the poor folk felt from the ravages of the kings war.

That said even just going by what the show gives us it has been wonderful to follow.
