As for show 2, Severed Hand, Getaway, Rain, My Fathers Son and a killer version of alive. Once I get married in the fall, I will be putting together my massive collections of song going back to 2011 for the getaway mix. I got so many songs saved on excel sheets that I could make multiple mixes.

I also thought of making a thread over at the pit called, "Hey Ed, the lyric is...." but knowing those sourpuss's over there, they would not take it well :haha:

Its really frustrating because he's terrible most of the time now, but then every so often he will belt out something wonderful. When he hits the upper register in Thin Air during Amsterdam it is just lovely. He also sounds great on sleeping by myself.

But, yea, sad strat.

I just laugh when fans are like, "it's the live experience man!" Fuck you, it doesn't take a harvard grad to remember fucking lyrics. There just accepting shitty performances.

Yeah, but then comes Sirens - which, Ed forgetting half the lyrics aside, feels like it goes for twice as long as it does - and the horrifying football chant during Do the Evolution; at that point I was out.

How the fuck is he forgetting the lyrics to Sirens, it's a new song and they play it every night.

I dont mind the DTE chant when it's organic, but when Eddie prods the crowd to do it, it's just contrived and stupid.

Cool - look forward to hearing it.

Just finished Vienna - what a show! Band and Ed at the absolute best of their (current) abilities nearly every song*. Probably the best Can't Keep since 2003. Great crowd and atmosphere by the sound of it.

I love the way Matt seamlessly transitioned out of the end Black into the start of Last Exit :nice:

The lyrics bullshit is probably my biggest problem with live PJ today.

Man, there was just a nasty version of Red Mosquito from Stockholm 2014 on PJ radio. Mike is going crazy with the mid song solo and the rest of the band tries to move towards the rest of the track and Mike pretty much tells them "fuck you, I am not done"

Milan is a fine show but there are enough lyrical flubs that turn me off of it. He forgets the entire first verse of Given to Fly and basically just laughs it off. It's aggravating because this song has meant so much to me and lifted me up so many times. Its an important song and he treats it like shit.

No respect. No respect.

yeah, that bothers me too....one thing i can say i would like is to see the band jam in the songs from their late period.

LB is a good one, but what about a very fucked up middle jam in severed hand or life wasted?

I was at the Vienna show, and on the night the weird turns in the setlist were almost too much, but listening to it now, it's a kick ass set.
recommend it if youre looking for a killer show.
