Nice pick of the week. I haven't read it but the cover has me sold. Please.... no CK as Robin....
My pick this week, rather weak bunch of comics imo, is Harbinger Wars

Hey guys! Comic fan here, though I usually just pick up Batman. However....

Have any of you read Maus? One of the best books I've read period.

Also Dark Horse did a run of Conan in the early/mid 2000s that I also really enjoyed. They were penned by Kurt Busiek and drawn by Cary Nord for the most part. They hew very closely to the original books by Robert E Howard. Excellent stuff.

Busiek's Conan run was all time great especially when Nord was doing the art. The current Conan series is pretty good. Not at the same level but enjoyable enough. If you like Conan.

Awesome, I wasn't sure if anyone here had read the series. I haven't checked out the new stuff mainly because what Busiek wrote was so good not to mention the amazing art!

My favorite in the series was actually the prequel and the art was done by Greg? Ruth. It filled in the backstory on Conans early life, taking tidbits of info from Howards books and fleshing it out. Some really excellent stories in that one.

Don't waste any more time! I first read it 4 years ago and have reread it twice since. For a black and white comic or graphic novel is is intense and emotional. It didn't win a pullitzer for nothing!

Is it just me or have the last 2 weeks of comics been pretty blah? Batman and Red Robin was better than I was expecting though. I'm pretty excited for Batman and Red Hood. The Walking Dead sucked this week, Saga is starting to bore me, Batman was pretty terrible. Actually, Star Wars was pretty cool.

I liked Action Comics, Hulk, Green Lantern and Superior Spider-Man last week. It was nice to like a Superman comic. It was the first I've liked since the start of the New 52.

Is Superman the one that Scott Lobdell (was writing Red Hood until until this past month) is writing now? I'll have to check out those others. I haven't been too into Marvel lately, but I did read that Hulk comic. HULK WORTHY!

Andy Diggle wrote Action Comics 19 which I really dug but he is already off the book. The artist Tony Daniel is finishing the arc as writer and penciler using Diggle's outline. Then the Red Hood guy takes over. I think Daniel stays on for the art though. He is good.

Was it Batman #19 you didn't like? I thought it was good especially the backup story.

I'm just not a fan of Clayface for some reason. Although, I loved those Detective Mud Pack comics from forever ago.

Are you familiar with Peter Panzerfaust? I found that I have issue 1 and 2 first prints and they are now making an animated digital comic of it. Elijah Woods is voicing Peter. Also it is going to be a show on the BBC starting this year. I'm wondering if I'm sitting on a nice little collectors item. I see it sells for a couple hundred on ebay already. Debating having them graded and sell them or wait it out and see if this turns into a big thing.

BTW Red Hood was interesting yesterday...

I don't have a pick of the week yet. Do you? That Batgirl last week was really good. I love JG Jr.

Pick of the week. This continues to be one of the strangest comics I have read in a long time.

Honorable mention to

WTF is up with DC's timeline? I cannot understand what is going on with Jason Todd. In Red Hood
Spoiler: show
his memory is wiped
, but that clearly isn't the case in Justice League and Batman Inc. Just assuming at this point with the next issue of Batman Inc. I'm really curious what Batman and Red Hood will be like in a couple of weeks.

Also, Bada, I re-read Batman #19 and quite liked it. Not sure why I was so hard on it before. I guess I'm feeling like this is just pointless filler until we get to the next big arc.

Guys, I HIGHLY recommend that you check out Peter Panzerfaust. I am current with it (though issue 10) and it's fantastic. Peter Pan, Wendy, Tiger Lilly, the lost boys in France fighting the Germans and Kaptain Haken. It's all there and is really a treat reading that fiction take place in such a different time and place.
Here's a cool interview about the series.

That issue of Red Hood happens after Batman & Red Hood #20 so it's ahead. Can't tell you why they are doing it this way. I'm gonna give that ugliest kid one a chance! Peter Panzawhosit too.
