I grabbed a ticket for the Goatwhore show tomorrow. It will be my second time seeing them but the first as a headliner and the last time i saw them was a LONG time ago. So really looking forward to it.
thinking about hitting up torche on friday too, but with soundgarden last night my concert budget is a little tight :(

That sucks. I'm going to suffer tomorrow even though the show is in town i don't think they are going on till midnight or later. I won't be home until late and having to get up for work is gonna suck.
I'm too old to rock n roll during the week :(

Time to check out the Baroness tonight! It has been a couple years since i've seen them live so i'm stoked.

They posted a picture of them driving around with Brann from mastodon on facebook this afternoon. I'm sure some of those guys will be there. It would be cool if they did a song together but i doubt that will happen.

Enjoy, and report! Baroness is tops--so glad they are back on the road.
Now, what would Oscar Winner® Michael Caine do?

These guys are so good and genuine.
Peter and John have great stage precense together the two new guys touring with them seem a little awkward but not bad. It was only their third show filling in. I'm sure it is intimidating. I thought sonically they filled in well. The druming is what concerned me the most and although it did not hinder the songs i did not catch myself drawn to the drumming as i've done before when i've seen them live, but i always thought their drummer was fantastic and losing him sucks.

So much energy from these guys they got the crowd into it. They played songs from Blue and Yellow/Green. Only other song was Isak from Red. John mentioned they played all the songs they know so i'm guessing that is all they have rehersed with the new guys.

The new songs sound great live it was my first time seeing a Yellow/Green tour They are even a little heavier live which is great.

Eula is one of my favs by them and John sang it like his life depended on it. Atlanta is a bit of a homecoming for John with him from Savannah. He mentioned having so many friends in the crowd etc. He mentioned how he wasn't bullshitting when he said a big reason they decided to come back so soon and tour was because of the fans. Asked folks to come up and talk to them afterwards they like meeting people etc. As always they came off as down to earth great people.

If you like these guys even a little go see them. They are so worth it. Its my 4th time seeing them and they have never disapointed.

Cool--glad to hear they are sounding solid! I don't think I'll be able to see them on any of the dates they've set thus far, but hopefully down the road I can see them again. Easily one of my favorite live bands.

Alright so I've bled Baroness, The Sword, High oh Fire and Mastodon dry. Any other recommendations would be much appreciated.
