"I'm gonna see my friends to make it go away", "I'm sick of everything", and all this hardcore shit, but the story is so mundane it's funny. He's going to hang out with his buddies because he'd down and they'll make him feel better.

That's a fair criticism. If these guitars were chunkier (like AIC chunky) it might've worked better.

You mean Dave A. But regardless, I don't find either of these a blanket criticism anymore. Matt can be groovy if (he thinks) the music calls for it. And he's groovy here. He's the grooviest he's been for a while.

Whatever those machines are called.

There are more groovy pushes, accents and fills in ATW than in most recent Matt stuff. And the off-beat reggae hi-hat in the choruses really works.

I'm listening to ATW now. I really fucking like it and Matt does some beautiful stuff on it.

You dont feel the need to hear more loud the guitars? Im with you in terms of groove and Matt, but this a Stone song and him and Mike feel they only appear at the end.
