I watched a couple more episodes and still find it incredibly dull, BUT everything around the Punisher was great. This is probably the only time I've found that character interesting. The guy playing him is awesome.
I'm kind of with you here re: dullness. I finished S2 last night and by the end of it I found myself backtracking to remind myself of various plot points. On one hand I love that Netflix is executing this super dense comic book approach to the narrative of these various shows, and on the other hand I feel like binge watching this coupled with scenes featuring long dialogue in dark places over and over again has contributed to me losing interest in the middle of each episode. But yeah, Bernthal plays the part of the Punisher very well. That courtroom scene...

Better than the cemetery scene in EP. 4?! That was fucking brutal.

First up, "Daredevil" leading man Charlie Cox indicated that filming on the Marvel team-up event mini-series "The Defenders" will kick off sooner than expected - as in later this year.
Due to this though, that means "Daredevil" having a third season for next year may be unlikely. Cox tells The Independent: "We don't know if there's going to be a season three. I certainly don't know."
Filming on the fourth Marvel & Netflix series, "Iron Fist," begins shortly ahead of an early 2017 airing.

I'm in love with this show.
It's not perfect. It can be hammy and trite and overindulgent at times, but come on, it's a show based on a comic book series. I think who they were able to characterize on screen and the world they were able to adapt out of the pages of Daredevil and Punisher is a crowning achievement in terms of comic book to live action television. Thanks to Netflix, and Marvel, we got 20+ hours of a big-budget super hero action fantasy crime drama without the censorship.
I really hope we get a third season. I need more Kingpin (that interrogation scene). I need more Punisher (that cemetery scene. That prison hallway scene. That diner scene). I need more Elektra. (That boxing ring scene.)
Great casting on DD also. He's a little rough around the edges, but he has some really great moments to make up for it.
I guess I'll check out Jessica Jones.

It's less super-heroey but a much more gripping story, I think

Daredevil is far and away the most faithful comic book show on tv. So far, it's the best of the best. Marvel's Netflix shows are knocking it out of the park. Jessica Jones was awesome, too. And with the building of the Punisher here, his spinoff show looks to be quite promising, as well.
I enjoy Agents of Shield and Agent Carter too, but these Netflix shows are just so much better. I'm really hoping Netflix picks up Agent Carter so it can continue.
