It’s taken five years for a new Deftones album to come — and it’s finally here. On Thursday, the group announced that it will release its album, ‘private music’, on Aug. 22 via Reprise and Warner Records. Deftones also released the single ‘my mind Is a mountain.’
The album serves as a sort of homecoming for group members Chino Moreno, Stephen Carpenter, Abe Cunningham, and Frank Delgado, who co-produced the project with Nick Raskulinecz in Malibu and Joshua Tree, as well as Nashville. Raskulinecz worked on 2010’s Diamond Eyes and 2012’s Koi No Yokan with the group

Listened to Saturday Night Wrist, thats a good one albeit its a bit formulaic even for a band as formulaic as this.
Ohms is next.

Good! I just wouldn't call that record or this band "formulaic".

I enjoy Ohms musically but it doesn't help that the first lyrics are middle-aged centrism 101: "I reject both sides of what I've been told... I've finally achieved balance!"
the record has a hard time regaining my attention after that

Saturday Night Wrist
White Pony
Deftones
Around the Fur
Koi no yokan
Diamond Eyes
Adrenaline
Gore
Ohms
Can't say I return to the bottom two at all except for "Prayers / Triangles"

I think Gore is their weakest by a considerable margin.
I like LV's ranking overall, though. Maybe Wrist is a little high, but I respect it.

yeah MOTM is vintage Deftones in a good way, hooky riffs, interesting melodic choices, memorable lyrics / fun chorus

I'm going to need you to calm down.
This implies it's better than "Rosemary", which is too far!
