I think New Jersey was only big because people wanted it to be. Slippery when wet was a juggernaut and everyone want the next jovi to be a hit. Other than bad medicine lay your hands on me was the only other memorable tune

The first five Cheap Trick albums are pure gold. A beautiful mix of rock, pop and missed opportunities.

I’d say that those two are the worse tracks on the album. The second side is a pretty good listen.

Just Press Play. No Bleach or UV Cleansing can save me after this one. Further down the let’s be relevant and use samples to dismal results. Cliches run into the ground. At a stretch Jaded and Luv Lies are listenable. There was one track that was so hideous I want to sheer it but I can’t be bothered to go back and find it.

What these guys need to do is get back in touch with their roots. Make a live in the studio album maybe. Cover songs maybe. Call their 70s producer maybe.

Honkin’ On Hobo. Hey look here. It’s a Bluesy covets album with Douglas, their 70s producer. Did it work? Yeah I guess so but there’s still a tonne of overdubs and it’s got a lot of extra Tyler crap. However this is worth a second listen.

Keepers: Shame Shame Shame, You Gotta Move, The Grind, Stop Messin’ Around, Jesus Is On the Main Line.

Death "...For the World to See" album is worth checking out.

Here is my favorite track from it:

I’ll be honest I haven’t listened to that album since I had it on cassette so I am a little fuzzy

Music From Another Dimension! Phew. I made it. These last 4 albums were tough. This is actually better than Nine Lives and Just Press Play although somehow they manage to fuck up every song, every promising song. There is some nice playing and some great energy. Having said all of that I'll never listen to this album again. And Perry just isn't captivating as a singer.

Keepers: LUV XXX, Oh Yeah, Legendary Child.

I now have a master playlist that I'll listen to and edit down again one day. I'll also play the 4 live albums at some stage soon. Right now I'm having a rest.
