I think your are referring to the ACL telecast.numbers wrote:I dont know what you guys watched, but I thought that was one of the worst performances I've ever seen from Eddie, especially on TV.

i agree-Ed was trying too hard... even with all the flubs, i thought it was as passionate as ever.spike wrote:that performance felt forced. i'm not saying eddie wasn't feeling emotional under the circumstances, but he way overdid it.Strat wrote:Vedder has such a knack for bringing a level of intimacy in his performances. Authenticity. I dont care that his voice is shot these days because there is that other element he has always been so good at. its endearing and infectious and playful. Someone who truly loves what they are doing. it rarely, if ever, feels detached.
So his vocal chords are shot. Fuck, listen to the way he screamed for 20 years. ITs amazing it took this long.
why is it hyperbolic? it's not like pearl jam/vedder has performed 1,000 times on tv.Iholdthepain wrote:hy·per·bo·lespike wrote:this guy gets itnumbers wrote:I dont know what you guys watched, but I thought that was one of the worst performances I've ever seen from Eddie, especially on TV.

the claim? what are you talking about? it's not a contention -- it's a fact: http://www.imdb.com/name/nm2149824/Iholdthepain wrote:yep... you made the claim, not me.Chris_H_2 wrote:you . . . want me to prove . . . the number of times that band or its lead singer has performed on tv?Iholdthepain wrote:prove it...Chris_H_2 wrote:why is it hyperbolic? it's not like pearl jam/vedder has performed 1,000 times on tv.Iholdthepain wrote:hy·per·bo·lespike wrote:this guy gets itnumbers wrote:I dont know what you guys watched, but I thought that was one of the worst performances I've ever seen from Eddie, especially on TV.

I actually am smitten with a different gal i spent a lot of my time with there. The instructor, while unbelievable gorgeous and adorable, is not the one for me.Chris_H_2 wrote:how many times ave you masturbated to that picture of your future wife strat?Strat wrote:How's everyone?
That list is incomplete, and includes non-live performances in which just the recording of the song was played...Chris_H_2 wrote:the claim? what are you talking about? it's not a contention -- it's a fact: http://www.imdb.com/name/nm2149824/Iholdthepain wrote:yep... you made the claim, not me.Chris_H_2 wrote:you . . . want me to prove . . . the number of times that band or its lead singer has performed on tv?Iholdthepain wrote:prove it...Chris_H_2 wrote:why is it hyperbolic? it's not like pearl jam/vedder has performed 1,000 times on tv.Iholdthepain wrote:hy·per·bo·lespike wrote:this guy gets itnumbers wrote:I dont know what you guys watched, but I thought that was one of the worst performances I've ever seen from Eddie, especially on TV.

it's actually pretty hilariousMcParadigm wrote:He sang Betterman? As a serenading goodbye to a friend?!
Is Eddie Vedder now one of those Pearl Jam fans who doesn't listen to the words?

You want me to say it, then fine: he's lost it. It kills me to say it, but he's chain-smoked his generational-level talent away.
And boo-hoo... "Expectations", now I should apologize for being a fan and expecting him to sing better than an amateur on kareoke night? There's no way you can tell me that Vedder performed up to his level of talent, unless he really is just physically unable to now... Which again, makes me sad. He's not THAT old.
I hate for my few posts here to be negative... But I needed to vent.
Also, you've been here for just over a year and you've got 4 posts already. Slow down dude, you're gonna flood the board!
Belated welcome.
