They're gorgeous Mook!!
I made a doggiebox. The kid lifts up to keep toys treats leads etc inside. Looks small but it's 2ft x 1ft.
And I made a loo roll holder

Thanks!
You're just working away on the wood. That tp roll holder is brilliant!

Thanks. I'm learning that the simple stuff is often more rewarding.
Finishing this up for a proper business client. It's huge and it's effin killing me

I can't remember last time I posted here but recent projects I've finished are:
Socks for my daughter.
A baby sweater (it needs blocking but I'm lazy)
And my current work in progress is actually something for myself. It's a Shetland style colourwork cardigan. This the last pic I took of it. It's about half done now.

I'm at that point now, and I'm poor as shit. Art is a hard sell.

Wow it does. That's a happy Accident. Had I been trying to make them I probably would have screwed it up.

It really is. I'm lucky that I work for my family in the same business that I'm also doing on the side. I'm being asked to take over the higher end fine jewelry repair work when our goldsmiths retire.
When you work for the family, it's very hard to quit your day job..

This is something new as of the weekend. I cut this cabochon from a slab of Rhodonite. I try to cut one new cab per week.
I buy, sell, and trade work for gems - ammo also.

Cmere, if I can do it anyone can. I'm doing this about a year now and looking through photos I can see I'm getting better at it. My first efforts almost embarrass me now but they were ok too. Just find a good pallet or some wood (or any medium youre feeling!) and start. You'll surprise yourself quite quickly.

My dad's been working on wood projects for years. I've been asking him to show me some tips and what not, to get me started.

Double bonus. Get to hang out with your dad and make stuff!
The very best way to make this happen is just start doing something when he's there. He'll be over in two minutes to tell you you're doing it wrong and then show you
