I missed it on the first few watches; Tony is holding what could be the hand of a dead colleague in the opening scene. Since hes holding somewhat gingerly, I'd say a female character.

I'm not a fan of the original theory, but yeah: they could make it so he uses the gauntlet on Banner. Let's say that's how you get gray hulk. Or maybe that's why Banner's in the buster armor - he has to fight Hulk.
